spurn VIII: October 2006, 13th Street Repertory Theatre (West Village, NYC)

Given the success of the video material used in the April 2005 production, McIntyre and Trivedi endeavored to explore the phenomenon that is video podcasting. Starting in January 2006, the first episode of spurn’s online video series was posted to the iTunes Store and the results have been fantastic - as of November 2006, the 12 episodes that have so far been uploaded have garnered over 80,000 individual hits and nearly 3,500 regular subscribers! spurn's plans for world domination has taken a tremendous leap forward as our videos have spread online, like the plague that they are, to YouTube, MySpace and over 20 other podcast-friendly sites. Just type "“spurn video" into Google and see what happens!

And, that fall, spurn unleashed its latest live theatre production on the unsuspecting populace of New York City once again. In October 2006, spurn opened at the West Village’s venerable 13th Street Repertory Theatre, a charming, classical 70-seat house that is sure to be forever tainted by spurn's dark carnival of pathos and merriment.

Video podcasts are all shot by cinematographer Jarrett Bellucci and produced by Ross A. McIntyre and Neil Trivedi.
